Three key Thursday Cottage handmade preserves and spreads have been highlighted for a special mention in Spring 2017 reflecting customers’ demands for a traditional curd, an exotic marmalade and a reduced sugar jam:

  • Lemon Curd
  • Blood Orange Marmalade
  • Reduced Sugar Blackcurrant Jam

Lemon Curd – carefully made from cane sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest prepared by hand, fresh pasteurised free-range eggs and pure country butter it is cooked in small batches – delicious on toast or as an ingredient in desserts and pastries.

Blood Orange Marmalade has a distinctive semi sweet flavour of rich oranges that come from the blood oranges grown on the fertile slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily; surprisingly it is not a bitter marmalade.

Reduced Sugar Blackcurrant Jam – Thursday Cottage’s traditional hand-pouring method means that each jar is packed with whole blackcurrants creating a mouth-watering tasty jam, with reduced sugar. A great Taste Award winner.

With nearly 100 preserves in the range customers have a great choice of traditional jams, tasty marmalades or creamy curds; there is a preserve to suit all tastes.
