The key winners of the World’s Original Marmalade Awards 2021 were announced at Dalemain, Cumbria on Sunday 20th June: the Double Gold Best in Show winner, as well as all category winners and Artisan winners. The announcement took place in conjunction with Dalemain’s Annual Plant Fair where various marmalades and plants were on sale in the beautiful gardens surrounding the mansion.
“Thursday Cottage has been replicating the winning marmalade for several years and this year’s very special marmalade was revealed on Sunday, the new batch of marmalade will be available for sale at Dalemain and at Fortnum & Mason stores”, said Donna Smith director of Thursday Cottage.
The Covid restrictions across the world did not deter entrants and this year we believe there was a record number of jars submitted for judging, a more complicated task due to the circumstances. The results will be revealed soon.
